Junior Road Warrior

We haven't moved yet so Aaron's still commuting with me to preschool and work.
The two things that have preserved my sanity during rush hour traffic are his car tray and my iPod Touch.
In two weeks, Aaron's figured out to turn on my iPod, unlock it, choose the different games and play independently.

At first, I assumed the iPod was so well-designed that a 3-year old could use it. Until, he showed me this:

On his own, Aaron knew to type in his name and did it! I am as shocked as you are.

On the drive home, Aaron desperately needed to pee. I asked him to hold it but 30 minutes later he was squirming like crazy, so we pulled off the freeway and I had him pee into the empty fruit cup shown here.

Is it Friday yet?

The bathroom emergency made me laugh because it reminded me of Sebastian when he was Aaron's age. On vacations, we would just pull off the road and find a bush or tree. The first day back at daycare (after vacation), Sebastian got in trouble for peeing in the play yard. The teached had to hold back the smirk on her face when she told us. We guiltingly admitted that he got use to peeing outside during vacation and had to tell him to use the bathroom from now on. ;-)
