First Take-home Project

It was Aaron's first take-home project in preparation for his school's Open House. Never mind that the project was on my to-do list for 3 weeks and we still managed to turn it in late. Aaron had a ton of fun.

The assignment: choose a North American animal and make it come to life. Aaron chose the shark. He had no trouble picking out a picture from the 3 options I found online. Aaron was also very decisive about the materials he wanted to use.

Ta-dah! A marshmallow shark in an ocean of blue froot loops. Aaron added some "treasures" in the ocean: multi-colored froot loops and sprinkles. If you look carefully, you'll also find some Pokemon pasta, a Cheerio and a totally-random pine cone. Hello, I'm 3.

Hey don't knock it...artists have made lots of money creating art from jellybeans, gum and soda pop caps. I think there's a calling here ;-)
