A Rough Day for the Bug

Even though Buggy got to attend two birthday parties, today ended up being one of his roughest days ever. He endured a lot of falls. Most were self-inflicted but the biggest one was not.

Climbing this playground structure (shown at left) was probably the only time Aaron showed fear. The rest of the time, he would keep at something until he got bored of the challenge.

Aaron goes on all the slides by himself now. Even the big-kid one in which he ended upside-down and landed on his head. He's not allowed on that one anymore until he gets bigger. (The slides shown here are the smaller ones.)

Buggy's biggest fall today was out of my parked car. He landed on the asphalt, head first. Incredibly, he cried for only a minute. We credit his high tolerance for pain to the "Tse gene" (my maiden name).

Here's hoping for an easier day tomorrow...

Oh dear... slides scare me. When I was 5 or 6 yrs old, my cousin, sister and I were on the top of a BIG slide. (concrete below) We wanted to go down the slide all together. My cousin decided that she would rather be second than first. She climbed around me and fell off the slide... landed on her side. I remember it so well. Luckily she only broke her arm. It was a very scary ordeal. No slides for me... Feel better Buggy!

Tiffany: what a terrible memory. You know, kids are coddled too much these days. I also remember the concrete playgrounds, sharp edges, rusted joints, bolts that snagged...

Today's playgrounds are overly cushioned and padded :) Elisabeth will love it! Thanks for the well wishes for Buggy.
