Every year since 1973, the neighborhood where Aden grew up has thrown an Independence Day block party. An extensive potluck buffet gets set up in the middle of the street and every one dines in front of their homes. Aunt Amanda (5-months pregnant) pretends to have eaten 10-gallons of spumoni ice cream.
Aaron hugs his Uncle Dave for the super-cool racecars.
Nearly 30 relatives and friends attended, including my nieces.
This year's neighborhood fireworks display was the biggest yet. No kidding -- these are the neighbors' fireworks. We fondly refer to it as "ghetto-works" :)
I want to move to your neighborhood! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Yes, I'm two months behind on my postings. We had a buyer for our house in PA and we had a house to buy in MD but the buyer pulled out three days before settlement and left us back to square one. I pulled my children out of summer camps and now I am a full time "Mommy camp". Still trying to find work in the midst of all this as well. Glad you are doing well and I still read all the blog updates.

I love the Annual Block Party! I think the food was especially tasty this year.
