New Class, New Rules

Aaron is very proud of himself. For summer school, he moved into Pre-Kindergarten. Because it's a Montessori, progression is not based on age and it is not automatic. He's been very anxious to move ahead, especially after seeing his other friends advance. He's no longer a "Ladybug" and just joined the "Butterfly" class.

Aaron: "Ladybugs are babies."
Aden: "You were a Ladybug last week."
Aaron: "Oh."

Being in Pre-K is a big deal. It means being able to go off-campus for field trips and swimming lessons at the YMCA.

It also means no toys are allowed for Show & Tell (click on the image to read the rules). So instead of his usual Legos, Aaron brought his "Bugs!" book.
