Better Than Legoland

Both times that we've taken Aaron to Legoland, I've wondered why we bother. Aaron's favorite activity there is playing with the Legos which we could do at home.

For the first time, we visited a Lego store (that's not located in Legoland) and it was better than going to Legoland: short commute, yummy mall food and easy on the wallet.

Aaron couldn't be happier with his small cup of Lego bricks that we packed from their Pick A Brick wall.

Look at all the loot we fit into an $8 cup! (The store clerk was very generous and told us it was okay if the lid "hovered" above the cup and then taped down the lid.)

Aaron wanted to nap with his Legos, so I let him pick one item to bring to bed. He chose a propeller.

Cool. In DBar they are offer those Engineering Lego Classes too. Legoland does have nice weather, fun, safe, clean. But I can see family time at the mall and picking up a few Legos at a time would be a great alternative.
